Professional Biography
Mr. Aadish is an accomplished architect and urban planner with over 16 years of experience in architecture, urban design, city planning, and placemaking. Beginning his career as an architect in Mumbai, he soon transitioned into urban planning after his post-graduation, joining the in-house master planning team at GIFT City. He takes pride in his contributions to the planning and implementation of GIFT City, one of Indiaβs most ambitious smart city projects.
Expanding his expertise, Mr. Aadish worked with the Dutch-Canadian consultancy Arcadis IBI Group as Associate General Manager, where he led a multidisciplinary team of 20+ professionals. He served as Programme Manager for the Bhubaneswar Urban Knowledge Centre (BUKC), driving initiatives to enhance urban liveability and positioning Bhubaneswar as a model for sustainable city development. His work spans transit-oriented development, streetscape design, parks and public spaces, urban governance, and strategy formation, with a strong focus on placemaking and city branding.
Currently, Mr. Aadish operates as an independent consultant, advising on placemaking initiatives, city branding and marketing, and tourism product planning across India. He collaborates with organizations such as PriMove Consultants, Quantum Leap Studio, and Cities Forum, contributing as a subject matter expert in urban planning and design.
He has represented Indian cities at multiple national and international forums, including MOHUA, NIUA, NCRPB, SPA New Delhi, CEPT University, and others, sharing his expertise and ideas on nurturing liveable cities. Passionate about urban transformation and public engagement, he also enjoys films, documentaries, travel, and aerial photography in his leisure time.
